  • Bond & Love: Meeting new friends, deeper time with an invited friend, affirmation, support, being seen and known, cheering, giving and receiving, making memories, experiencing growth beside each other.

We welcome all women who are looking for a meaningful weekend away.  Our retreats are a mix of guided personal reflection and facilitated group connection so that you leave feeling hopeful, clear, and supported for the upcoming chapter of your life.  Shasta facilitates a process carefully designed to help you hear your own true wisdom and to do so within a safe community of other women.

Our participants range in age between 20 and 70, come from all across the country, and we always have a beautiful mix of extroverts and introverts.

If you want to start 2017 with intentionality, love being surrounded by beauty, value friendship and want to meet other women who are committed to lives of self-awareness, and are willing to invest in your self-care—we so hope you know we’d love to have you in our circle.

About half of our participants come alone, ready to meet others and connect.  But maybe you also want to bring a friend with you, somewhere to share your room with and turn it into a meaningful weekend of reconnection, too?  Your choice!

Bring your sister, your daughter, your mom, your best friend, or someone you’re getting to know better—whoever you come with, there’ll be plenty of chances to bond and catch up, while also both having the chance to meet other amazing women.

where we will gather

This year we will gather at 1440 Multiversity in the redwood forest near Santa Cruz, CA. We’ll be surrounded by majestic trees that have been standing for more than thousand years!  Relish over four miles of picturesque trails on the 75-acre campus, designed with many places to rest and relax along the way. Or walk the labyrinth, nestled under a stand of old-growth redwoods, which has been designed to help illuminate one’s inner path by offering a serene place to walk, clear the mind, and gain perspective.

In addition to our program, a well-rounded daily schedule lets you create a personalized experience by choosing the supplementary activities that suit you best. A variety of meditation, yoga, and other classes are available throughout the day to help you relax or recharge before and after your program sessions. You’ll also enjoy educational and entertaining evening events, from lectures to concerts and more. You can also book any treatments you desire at the Healing Arts center, take a trail map to guide your uplifting walks in the woods, and browse the shop for books, gifts, and more.


what is included

Your weekend retreat includes:

  • The Meaningful Revealing of Your Truth & Wisdom.  The intention of this guided retreat is that you return home having heard the hope and clarity that will guide you into a powerful and intentional year. Shasta will teach and inspire you, lead you through creative activities and personal journaling, and will expertly guide you to land on the words that will anchor your year in personal vision.
  • Two nights of peaceful and cozy lodging.  Everything you need is ready for you: organic sheets, beautiful views, quiet darkness, a starry sky, and all the amenities of a retreat center. (Double-occupancy, though single occupancy may be available if preferred.)

  • Six delicious, organic, and nourishing meals.  The meals you’ll enjoy during your stay are homemade and served at the Kitchen Table—the heart of sustenance and connection on campus, as it is in your own home. It’s where folks gather and linger to enjoy healthy, mouthwatering meals while sitting cozily by the fireplace or dining al fresco, overlooking the forest canopy and the gently running creek. Omnivores and vegans alike will find plentiful choices, all highlighting natural, nutrient-rich ingredients, freshly prepared and served. While focused on plant-based cuisine, daily menus also include sustainable sources of animal protein, as well as gluten-free and lactose-free options. No matter what your preferences are, you can rest assured that all dishes are crafted on-site, from scratch, using mindfully sourced, natural and organic ingredients for delectable, memorable meals. In between meals, enjoy connection and conversation in the Common Grounds Café beckoning with comfortable inside tables and spacious patio seating. Come here to sip a cup of coffee or tea, nibble a tasty treat, gather with friends between program sessions.

  • Meaningful and Fun Connection with Other Amazing Women. While the end goal of the retreat is personal awareness and hope, we will also bond and connect with other women who also value personal growth and community. We will share and learn from one another, support and encourage each other, and laugh and bond together.  We’ll leave with new friends.

  • Activities to restore you.  A variety of meditation, yoga, and other classes are available throughout the day to help you relax or recharge before and after your program sessions.   • All craft supplies and journals.  Everything you need for all our activities, from designing your wisdom board to receiving your own journal for the weekend, is provided.

  • Optional morning yoga.  Start your mornings with a gentle and invigorating yoga class, all supplies and mat’s provided. (Or, sleep in; or, come get fresh coffee and journal; or, go for a walk.  Whatever your heart calls for…)
